It is a busy second half of 2017 for Echo education opportunities. So it’s time to pack the bags and combine a much needed holiday with meaningful professional development. The coming months are a particularly exciting time for echo education in my part of the world. Here are just a few of the stand-out events on offer for August – October that have caught my attention. I hope to see you out there…
Echo Australia – 2017
11 -13th October 2017 – Sydney, Australia.
The 16th Annual Echo Australia conference continues to build on its international reputation as an exceptional conference event. This year’s faculty include a very high quality local line-up as well as well known international speakers, Charles Bruce, Michelle Bierig and Bijoy Khandheria. I was fortunate enough to catch a few presentations by Charles Bruce last year and I would highly recommend trying to get to any of his sessions. This year the conference is hosted in Sydney which is a perfect starting point for international guests looking to combine an Australian holiday.
Don’t forget to bring your textbook for signing by echo educator and author, Bonita Anderson.
Australian Society of Ultrasound in Medicine (ASUM)
6-8th October 2017, Melbourne, Australia.
Melbourne is hosting this year’s ASUM conference and the organizing committee have assembled a very broad program which has something for everyone. The highlight speakers for me would be Dr Stuart Moir talking on contrast tips, and Dr Andre La Gerche informing us on the latest approach to athletes heart.
What has really caught my attention though is a dedicated stream of the conference to education. I think this is an excellent initiative and I hope the sessions are well attended and it continues as a standard fixture of the conference.
Echo Hong Kong 2017
23-26th November 2017, Hong Kong.
OK, so technically not in the next three months, but still worth mentioning as you may need to apply for a visa to attend this one. The 11th Echo Hong Kong conference is a bi-annual event and an opportunity for a great educational event in a truly unique city. Each year the international line-up improves and I wish I could get to this one myself…but will need to wait until 2019…
The registration fee has been waived for the conference but seats are limited and filling up fast!
